GOBBLE GOBBLE

This is GOBBLE GOBBLE, an indie/borderline psychedelic out fit from Toronto, Cannandia. They appear to write songs high on non-toxic crayola crayons (this judging pruely by there myspace) in a permanent state of un-ashamed happiness..which makes for some fun tunes. Fav track of mine, 'Lawn Knives' combines elements of MGMT, Penguin Prison and, to an extent, the cut up styling's ala Four Tet. It's glitch-tastic messy production somehow still manages to house a polished hook filled vocal, backed by girly woo's and various manner of synths. As far as i can see their not backed by anyone atm, but that's sure to change..i mean surely..come on now. I will defs see them when they hit UK shores and you should so come with me.

POPE JOAN

Brighton based electro-popsters Pope Joan are without a doubt one of the best live bands we have seen and they instantly captured our hearts. 'Dictator', their latest single (out on March 29th), is a pulsating collision of organs, twinkling guitars and funk driven bass. With a debut album due later in the year, the lads gig schedule has reached fever pitch, so there literally is no excuse not to catch this band at one of their up coming shows.

In the meantime, you can get your mits on the excellent 'The Ground Is Shakey' now, by clicking the 'Download' tab on the player above. Enjoy, you lucky thing you.

THE TITLE SEQUENCE

2010 is set to be a big year for The Title Sequence, with the release of new single ‘Lovers’, the North London duo are quickly gaining steam. With their beautifully crafted songs it’s easy to see why they have already picked up plaudits from the likes of Steve Lamaq, Huw Stephens and James Yuill. Their songs combine crisp production, beautiful harmonies and snap shots of everyday life: listen and prepare to fall in love.

RADIOPROOF

London based, electro/glitch peddler and multi instrumentalist Andy McDonnell has been dealing under the name Radioproof for the best part of just over a year. Causing shocked expressions on the faces of the Kitsuné ranks, they quickly employed his services for remixing duties on both Delphic and Crystal Fighters singles. Inspired by his Asian/West African upbringing Andy's style involves choice rhythms, forcing the vocals through a fine mesh, looping fragments, screwing with pitch and timely executing the edited chunks across the track with laser like precision. The results make for some refreshing remixes, which you can still 'kick to'..(personally I just nod my head and shuffle my feat awkwardly, but the option of 'kicking to it' is there).

Tracks below and that, including his decent new remix for Marina + Diamonds(so hot right now, blah blah). But fav has got to be his Delphic one, the post drop, rattling bass line will have you gluing your living room furniture down in order to prevent rattling overload bugging neighbours/street: Filthy.
